Steel Challenge PLUS

This Match will be for .22LR rifle and pistols, and any non-magnum handgun or PCC (pistol caliber carbine).

Steel Challenge PLUS will be a modification of a steel challenge set-up.  Nine steel targets will be in an array from 10 yards to 20 yards from the shooter boxes and range in size from 6” to 18x24.”  There will be two shooter boxes. Course of fire will be five strings of fire:  Three strings from one box, and two strings of fire from the other box.

What makes this match different from a regular steel challenge match is there will be, in addition to the primary plate, four extra plates placed to partially block the primary plate behind it.  Both plates must be hit.  The ninth plate will be a Stop Plate and must be hit last.  It will not have a second plate in front of it.

You will need to hit all eight plates before hitting the Stop Plate. You can shoot a make-up shot, if a plate is missed.  Two second penalty for misses and/or hitting the Stop Plate out-of-order.

The following is not a typo.  As mentioned above, there will be five strings of fire, but, for this match, we throw out the BEST score and your final score will be the total of the remaining four strings.

With time and temperature permitting, you can shoot this course of fire as many times as you wish.  We will have an awning up over the shooting boxes.  Bring chairs and plenty of liquids.
