DESCRIPTION:Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range\nAs Issued 1911 Pistol & Military/Police Service Pistol Match\nIntent and Spirit: The intent of CMP Games As-Issued Pistol Match rules is to provide pistol\ncompetitions where competitors can use original\, as-issued or replica military or police type\nsemi-automatic pistols. The spirit of these pistol matches is to offer competitions that are\nrestricted to issue or stock pistols without specialized accurizing features. This is to ensure that\nthe pistols used are affordable and accessible to the greatest possible numbers of competitors.\nAny pistol configuration or item of equipment that is not mentioned in these rules or that is\ncontrary to the intent and spirit of these rules is prohibited. \nLocation: Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range\,\n1044 S Shooting Sports Park Road\, Hurricane\, UT 84737 Bay A-7. \nDates: Nov. 1 & Dec. 6\, 2025 and Jan. 3\, Feb. 7\, Mar.7\, Apr. 11\, 2026. Time: 08:00 a.m. \nNote: The last match on April 11\, 2026 will be a CMP sanctioned match with awards provided\nby the CMP to the top shooters. \nCost: RCRPR Members: $10.00\, Non-Members: $20.00 person/day. The fees for the CMP\nsanctioned match on April 11 will be: Members: $15.00\, Non-Members: $25.00. \nRelays: Two relays will be fired\, one for each type of firearm listed below. You may choose to\nfire one or both relays. \nFirearms\nAs-Issued M1911 Pistol\, Cal. .45 ACP: The pistol must be a U. S Armed Forces issue\nM1911 cal. .45 ACP pistol or a commercial pistol of the same general type and caliber. The\npistol must comply with the following requirements.\na) The pistol must be in as-issued or “factory stock” condition\, with standard grips\,\nsights that are not readily adjustable (i.e.\, would require tools and special effort) and\nwithout specialized match conditioning or accurizing features;\nb) The pistol must generally conform to the weight and dimensional specifications of the\nstandard-issue service pistol;\nc) Re-barreling with a barrel of the same type and length as the M1911 barrel is\npermitted;\nd) Only government-issue parts or government or commercial parts of the same general\nweight and dimensions may be used;\ne) The trigger pull must be at least 4 lbs. Trigger shoes are not permitted;\nf) Only 7-round magazines with no extensions or magazine bumpers may be used; and\ng) It is the intent of this rule that reasonable flexibility must be applied in determining if\nthe pistol is an M1911-type pistol within the spirit and intent of this rule. \nMilitary & Police Service Pistol\nPistols must be semi-auto pistols that are practical or suitable for issue as a military or police\nservice pistol. The pistol must comply with the following requirements:\na) Pistol calibers cannot be smaller than 9 mm or larger than .45 cal.;\nb) Barrels may not be more than five (5) inches in length;\nc) Pistols must have a single or striker action trigger pull of not less than 4.0 lbs.
