We will be shooting at a variety of steel targets\, some static and some reactionary. The distances will vary from 10-15 yards.\nThe scoring will be HIT or MISS with a one-second time penalty for all misses. The round count for each string will be 18 providing you have no misses. Make-up shots are allowed and encouraged.\nThe starting position will be at the shooters’ discretion. If you want to draw from a holster or start from low ready or low guard that is fine. DESCRIPTION:Redcoats on the Run \nOn April 19\, 1775\, American Patriots confronted British troops led by Lt. Col. Francis Smith\, who sought to seize militia weapons in Concord\, Massachusetts. \nDespite being mostly farmers and tradesmen\, around 580 militiamen stood their ground on Lexington Green. Ordered not to fire\, Captain John Parker famously declared\, “Don’t fire unless fired upon\, but if they mean to have war\, let it begin here.” The first shot—“the shot heard ’round the world”—soon ignited the battle. \nAfter ransacking Concord\, the British were met at the North Bridge by Minutemen using guerrilla tactics\, forcing their retreat to Boston. Shooting this event will help you realize weaknesses in your self-defense firearm skills. \nPlease note: Any Centerfire non-magnum firearm is suitable. It is recommended you use your concealed carry firearm for this event. This course of fire requires drawing from a holster\, so plan on bringing one for your firearm. However\, Shooters may opt for a low-ready starting position if desired. Firearms with optics are permitted. \nIf you choose to shoot a .22 LR handgun you will not be required to use a holster\, but you will need two magazines. For all shooters: The FBI Qual. course will require a minimum of 50 rounds and two magazines and a magazine holder for at least one magazine (or someone can hand you one.) We will be shooting from 3\, 5\, 7\, 15 and 25 yards. There are ten (10) timed events for this course of fire.
