Message from Board of Directors – 31 Aug 2026
Dear Red Cliff’s Rifle & Pistol Association members, There is a Commission Meeting this Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 4pm. We were advised to have as many of our members and supporters attend. There is supposed to be a public forum in the beginning that allows public comment. We were also told you can access each supervisor 30 minutes prior to meeting to speak individually. The termination notice we received is very clear that, per our contract, we must vacate property on that date in February. With this notice, as a 501c3 non-profit, it is our understanding will be legally bound to start a Plan of Dissolution. The Board will be asking for reconsideration of the termination notice, and instead, provide a contract mediator for interpretation of existing contracts since that may be at the heart of the notice. We feel that would be in the best public interest and the best use of taxpayer dollars. Thank you for your support and hope you can make a difference. As we learn more, we will continue to send you updates. Our next Red Cliffs Board Meeting will be on Friday, Sept. 11, at 10am, notice will go out. All are welcome to attend. Message from the Board of Directors – 28 Aug 2026
Dear Red Cliff’s Rifle & Pistol Association members, Yesterday we received an email from the Washington County Commissioners Victor Iverson, Gil Almquist, and Adam Snow notifying the RCRPA Board of Directors that they have terminated the RCRPA contract and the termination date is 11:59 pm February 23, 2027. No reason was given for this unethical action. We know you all have a lot of questions, as do we. We will put out a more detailed message after we meet as well as consult with legal counsel. RCRPA will remain open to the members, and the public and conduct business as usual. We will no longer accept new memberships and renewals will be stopped but all memberships will be honored until the terminated date. A copy of the commissioners’ letter is attached and will be posted on the RCRPA website. The County Commissioners emails and phone numbers are at the bottom of this letter.
