Subject: Great News & Range Updates: Moving Forward Together at Red Cliffs

Dear Red Cliffs Rifle and Pistol Association Members,

Thank you to the 50 members who joined us for our quarterly General Board Meeting on September 11th. We are excited to share some very positive updates regarding the future of our range, our relationship with our shooting community partners, and upcoming events.

Positive Progress with the County & SUPS

• Clear Path Forward: The County Commissioners confirmed they do not want to take over or close our range. They will rescind the motion against us once our agreement with the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Association (SUPS) is finalized.
• Collaborative Agreement: Our Board met with the SUPS Board on September 9th and reached a mutually beneficial arrangement.
• Bay Upgrades & Revenue: SUPS will upgrade the D bays at their own expense, and we will assist with ongoing upkeep throughout the year. Red Cliffs will receive compensation when SUPS hosts national events on the D bays, as well as collect the brass from these events to sell.
• Local Shoots: SUPS is actively working on a plan to avoid using our D bays for their regular local shoots.
• Shared Vision: Both organizations are committed to keeping open lines of communication so we can all safely exercise our Second Amendment rights.

Financial Health & Membership Details

• Financial Stability: Our range remains in good financial condition, thanks to diligent maintenance and the generosity of key contributors who support our growth.
• Better Access to Board Meetings: Starting in 2027, we will hold regular quarterly General Board Meetings. We are also exploring evening meeting options so more members can attend and share their input.

Upcoming Events & How You Can Support

• 8th Annual Gun Show: Save the date for October 24th & 25th at the Grafton Building at the fairgrounds (Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
• Show Up for the Range: We will announce the date of our next meeting with the County Commissioner as soon as it is locked in. Please plan to attend if you can—numbers count!
