The Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) has created a set of Eight Steel Plate Arrays consisting of 5 Steel plates of various sizes and configurations to test your speed shooting skills.

.22 LR and Centerfire non-magnum pistol caliber rifles and handguns are permitted. 

For this fun match, we will set up three of these 5 plate arrays. Shooters will shoot five strings of fire and be timed for each string. The worst time of the 5 strings is discarded and your total time for the best 4 times is your score for that array.

This event will stress accuracy and gun control. We will be shooting at three different plate arrays for three Stages. The total round count for each plate array is a minimum of 25 rounds, and you can make up any misses. Therefore, if we shoot all three plate arrays, the total round count will be a minimum of 75 rounds.

Note: Each plate array has a STOP plate that must be hit after hitting the first four plates which can be hit in any order. The penalty for a plate not hit or hit after the stop plate is 2 seconds.

We will shoot this match one stage at a time, then change the plate array for the next stage. You can use the same firearm or a different one for each stage: your choice.

There will not be any mandatory reloads, but please be sure your firearm is functioning properly and bring some extra magazines. Five mags per stage will speed things up. The maximum time for each string of fire is 30 seconds.

New shooters, youngsters, and any guest shooters are welcome to participate.

Bring a chair and beverage, and dress accordingly to the weather conditions.
