Is the Range open to the public?

What are the Range hours?
We are open 7 days a week.
- Summer Hours (May 1 through September 30) are 8:00am – 12:00pm weather permitting
- Winter Hours (October 1 through April 30) are 10:00am – 3:00pm weather permitting
Please check the website homepage for closure updates when we are experiencing inclement weather.
The range closes promptly at 3:00pm during winter hours and 12:00pm during summer hours. A mandatory ceasefire of all shooting on the main range and in the bays will occur 15 minutes prior to closing time to allow the shooters time to pick up their brass, gather all their belongings and equipment, and exit the range by closing time. All shooters must be off the range by closing.
Does the Range sell ammunition?
Yes! Ammunition is available for purchase in the office. Prices include sales tax

What is the cost?
The Main Range and all Shooting Bays are $20 per person if you are not a member. Active law enforcement, active military, and children 15 years and under are free.
How much is a membership?
Our current membership fee is $150, which includes the option to bring one guest. Additionally, as a member, if you volunteer at the range at least twice a month, you’ll receive a complimentary membership for the following year.

What methods of payment does the Range Accept?
Is there an age limit?
All minors must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian on the range and need a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. NO children under 8 years old are allowed on the Main Range. You will need to rent a Shooting Bay if you have children under 8 years old with you.
What is available for shooting?
Does the Range take reservations?
We are first-come, first-served for the Main Range and all Shooting Bays.
You can make reservations for corporate and group events. Please call the Range (435) 705-4559 to get more information for all event scheduling or email our Event Coordinator.
Does the Range rent / sell firearms?
No.
What kinds of handguns can be used at the Range?

Are shotguns allowed at the Range?
All shotguns are allowed in the new shotgun bay. Only shotguns shooting slugs are allowed on the main range.
Does the Range support physically handicapped shooters?
Am I allowed to take pictures or videos?
Does the Range have a dress code?
What should I bring with me to the Range?
- Eye Protection (available for purchase if needed)
- Ear Protection (available for purchase if needed)
- Valid Picture ID
- Membership ID if you are a member
- Cash or Credit Card in your name
- Recommended appropriate protective clothing:
- For females, avoid low-cut tops (Hot casings leave marks)
- No flip-flops or open toes shoes
- Cotton long-sleeved shirts are preferable
- Your personal, properly functioning firearm(s)
- Your own ammunition
- Targets (available for purchase if needed)
- Silhouette targets are not allowed on the Main Range

I have never shot before. Do I need to take a class before I can use the Range?
No, but it’s always a good idea to get professional firearms training. Firearms Training Classes are offered periodically. Check our Events Calendar for upcoming classes.
What calibers are allowed at the Range?
All non-armor piercing caliber rounds, excluding the .50bmg are allowed, as long as the shooter can handle the firearm in a safe manner.
Can I draw from a holster on the Range?
Can I shoot two guns at the same time?
I am a private firearms instructor, law enforcement instructor, etc. Can I use the Range for training / teaching?
Can I transfer my membership to someone else or let someone use mine?
I am a felon, am I still allowed to come to the Range and shoot?
Unfortunately not. According to Federal and State Laws anyone who meets the criteria below is a prohibited person and therefore are not allowed to possess, handle, or purchase a firearm.
- Being convicted of: a crime of violence, a classified felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, a crime that resulted in imprisonment of more than two years, or adjudicated delinquent by a juvenile court for one of the above crimes while under 30 years old.
- If one is considered a: fugitive from justice, a habitual drunkard, or an addict or habitual user of a controlled dangerous substance.
- If one is suffering from a mental disorder and has a history of violent behavior, has been confined due to a mental disorder for 30 days or more, or has been involuntarily committed to a mental health facility as defined under state law.
- If one has been found incompetent to stand trial, or “not criminally responsible” under state law.
- If one is under the protection of a guardian as appointed by the court (with an exception if guardianship is based solely on a physical disability).
- If one is the subject of a civil protection order or an order for protection that has been issued by the court.
