CMP Pistol Match
CMP Pistol Match
The intent of CMP Games As-Issued Pistol Match rules is to provide pistol competitions where competitors can use original, as-issued or replica military or police type semi-automatic pistols. The spirit of these pistol matches is to offer competitions that are restricted to issue or stock pistols without specialized accurizing features. This is to ensure that the pistols used are affordable and accessible to the greatest possible numbers of competitors. Any pistol configuration or item of equipment that is not mentioned in these rules or that is contrary to the intent and spirit of these rules is prohibited. Note: This match follows the CMP rules and format but is not officially sanctioned/registered with the CMP. Location: Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range - Bay A-7 Dates: Nov. 2, 2024, Dec. 7, 2024, Jan. 4, 2025, Feb. 1, 2025, Mar. 1, 2025, Apr. 5, 2025 Time: 10:00 a.m. Cost: $20.00 person/day. Swing & Ding Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range - Bay A-3 PLEASE SIGN IN AND PAY ($10.00) AT THE OFFICE BEFORE COMING TO A-3. This match will be for .22 LR and Centerfire Pistol Calibers. Rifles, PCC Carbines and Handguns. No Magnum calibers allowed. Starting in the shooter's box at the buzzer, Shooter will engage 12 Targets ranging in size from 18” x 24" to 6” x 8” at distances of 10 yards to 20 yards. There will be three strings of fire, each with a different shooting scenario. Each String will begin with the sound of the buzzer. Make-up shots are allowed. String 1: Starting at the closest row of 6 x 8 targets engage the left or right target, then engage the second row of Targets in the opposite direction. Continue that pattern until all 12 targets are hit. String 2: Starting with either the left or right 18" x 24" targets repeat the same pattern until all targets are hit. String 3: Starting with an 18" x 24" target on either side continue down that side until all targets are hit and then up the other side finishing on an 18”x 24”. We would love to have some younger shooters attend our matches. If you have a relative or neighbor interested, please have them call either Larry Bruley or Bruce Furr.
