2026 CMP .22LR Pistol League The RCRPR will host a bi-weekly 22 L.R. pistol league, May – September 2026. The individual 900-point matches will be conducted on Tuesday evenings with the date/time details listed below. The program will follow the 2026 Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Competition Pistol Rules. Program Registration Program is open to RCRPR members and non-members (14 years of age or older). $80.00 at start of program pays for all 10 matches and is payable in full on May 5, 2026. Walk-ins are welcome, if space permits, but members will pay a $10.00/day fee and non-members will pay $15.00/day. Safety procedures, program rules, equipment, range commands, target scoring etc. will be reviewed at the program dates below. Program Dates/Time Dates: May 5, May 19, June 2, June 16, Jun 30, July 7, July 28, August 11, August 25 & Sept. 8. Time: 6:30 p.m. Please arrive at 6:00 p.m. to setup and post target frames and targets. SIGHTS (rule 5.2.1): Metallic, telescopic or electronic sights are permitted with the exception of a sight that projects an image onto the target (e.g. laser sights). POSITION (rule 6.1.1): All shooting is done from the standing position using one hand, and no support is allowed. Exception: Participants may shoot two-handed as an exception. Course of Fire The “900” match consists of 90 shots fired in 10 shot series (nine targets) as follows: SLOW FIRE MATCH (50 yards): • Two Slow Fire NRA B-6 targets, 10 shot strings, 10 minutes/string, 20 shots total NATIONAL MATCH COURSE: • One Slow Fire NRA B-6 target (50 yards), 10 shot string, 10 minutes/string, 10 shots total • One Timed-Fire NRA B-8 target (25 yards), 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 10 shots total • One Rapid-Fire NRA B-8 target (25 yards), 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 10 seconds/string, 10 shots total TIMED FIRE (25 yards): • Two Timed-Fire NRA B-8 targets, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 20 shots total RAPID FIRE (25 yards): • Two Rapid-Fire NRA B-8 targets, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 10 seconds/string, 20 shots total Essential Equipment to Bring: Pistol(s) (with two or more magazines), 90 rounds of ammunition (bring extra for alibi/re-fire strings), ECI/chamber flag, eye & ear protection, spotting scope or binoculars, target stapler (with staples 1⁄4”), target pasters, clipboard, pen, chair & drinking water. BOWLING PIN MATCH - Scores Red Cliffs Rifle and Pistol Range Bay A-6, 6:00 PM Please proceed directly to Bay A-6 to sign in. Match cost is $10 for the 1st gun. $5 for the 2nd gun. This stage requires 4 separate strings to be shot. Each string will be timed individually and will require 5 rounds with no misses for a total round count per stage of 20 rounds not including any makeup shots you may accrue. The object is to knock down 5 pins without hitting a black NO SHOOT pin as quickly as you can. Your final score will be the accumulation of your four string totals. Shooters start from a low ready position. Should you accidentally knock down a NO SHOOT pin you will accrue a one second penalty which will be added to your time. Any make up shots beyond the number of pins to be engaged will also accrue a one second penalty. Any Non-Magnum Pistol Caliber handgun or PCC will be allowed to run. This includes .22LR pistols and rifles. You need either a case or box to move back and forth to the shooters table. Holsters will be allowed. Cold Range rules apply. The shooting distances are; 7 yards for Pistols, 15 yards for PCC’s and .22LR rifles. We will run all pistols first then run all PCC’s and .22LR rifles. Bring a chair and a beverage. Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range - Bay A-8 Lane 1 - Scores PLEASE SIGN IN AND PAY ($10.00) AT THE OFFICE BEFORE COMING TO A-8. Red Cliffs Rifle and Pistol Range- Bay A-8, Lane 1 Please sign up and pay $10 at the office before coming to A-8 This match will consist of an array of reactive targets that you will attempt to engage as quickly as possible. We will run pistols at 10 yards and PCC’s at 15 yards. This is an all steel match with a relatively high round count per stage. Any non-magnum pistol caliber PCC or pistol will be allowed to run. This is a centerfire only match. .22 LR cant reliably force target reaction. We will shoot til we run out of time. Bay A-8 has a large canopy. It is likely to be warm so bring a cool drink and a chair. New shooters, youngsters, and any guest shooters are welcome to participate. Bring a chair and beverage, and dress accordingly to the weather conditions.
